Walter becomes angry when he finds a surveillance camera in the lab. Skyler meets with Walt and Saul and persuades Walt that buying the car wash could help them. She uses Bogdan’s old insult about Walt’s masculinity to push him toward the purchase. Saul’s associate Patrick Kuby then poses as an environmental inspector and threatens to close the business over contamination. Bogdan gives in and sells for less than Skyler first offered.
Jesse remains numb after recent events. He goes go-karting to clear his head, but keeps hosting chaotic parties and throwing money into the crowd. Tyrus watches the house from a nearby car. Marie, shut out by Hank as he recovers, returns to stealing from open houses and inventing stories about herself. A real-estate agent catches her; Hank uses his connection to Detective Tim Roberts to prevent charges, though he is angry.
Roberts later visits the Schrader home and asks Hank for help, bringing a photocopy of Gale’s lab notebook. Hank initially pushes it away, absorbed in his recovery and resentment. That night, however, he starts reading it. The episode ends with the notebook in Hank’s hands, giving him a new line of inquiry as Skyler secures the car wash and Jesse’s house remains under surveillance.
