Walt removes the bomb from Gus's car and asks Jesse where Gus might go without cameras. After detectives question Jesse about ricin, Saul relays Jesse’s suggestion of Hector’s nursing home. Walt offers Hector a chance to kill Gus in revenge. Hector pretends he will cooperate with the DEA but uses his letter board to insult the agents. Gus hears about this and goes to the home to kill Hector. Tyrus searches the room, finds no bug, and Gus prepares to inject Hector. Walt chooses the nursing home because Gus visits Hector there without the usual security around him.
Hector suddenly looks Gus in the eyes and rings his bell, setting off the bomb beneath his wheelchair. The blast kills Hector and Tyrus; Gus walks out with half his face destroyed and collapses. Walt hears about the explosion. Jesse is released from police custody but forced at gunpoint to cook in the lab. Walt arrives, kills Gus's two guards and frees him. They burn the lab. At the hospital parking garage, Jesse says Brock will live and was poisoned by lily-of-the-valley berries. Walt tells Skyler that he won. The final shot of the plant reveals Walt poisoned Brock. Jesse questions their decision to kill Gus because the boy was not poisoned with ricin. Walt insists Gus still had to die.
