After Badger is arrested in a police sting, Walter White and Jesse Pinkman look for a lawyer who can keep him from naming them. Walt visits Saul Goodman while pretending to be Badger's uncle and offers money for the lawyer to persuade his client to stay quiet. Saul refuses the bribe. Walt and Jesse then abduct him, mask their faces and threaten him, but Saul mistakes them for cartel enforcers and begs them to spare him. When they explain that Badger is the reason they came, Saul quickly shifts from fear to business: he will represent the pair and keep their conversations confidential.
Saul proposes paying Jimmy In-'N'-Out Kilkelly to serve as a stand-in for Heisenberg. Badger arranges a false meeting with the supposed dealer, and the DEA arrests Kilkelly, though Hank Schrader remains unconvinced that the case is settled. Saul later turns up at Walt's school and points out that Walt is easy to locate; he offers to become his regular lawyer and help conceal his criminal activity. Elsewhere, Skyler dresses for a Saturday shift with her new employer Ted. Walt notices Hank has withdrawn into his house and speaks to him about living without fear after a terminal diagnosis. Hank gets outside, but his panic attacks continue. Jesse grows closer to Jane and learns that she is in recovery.
