Season 7

Season synopsis

Contains spoilers for this season and earlier seasons.

Several months after Brennan’s pregnancy reveal, she and Booth are preparing for a child while still working out where and how to live together. After a prison investigation ends in a riot, Brennan goes into labor and gives birth in a barn beside a country inn; they name her Christine Angela. The cases continue around the changing household: Booth’s son Parker returns, the adults make room for him and the baby, and Brennan gradually resumes field work after the birth.

A new threat grows out of Christopher Pelant, a computer hacker whose earlier murders could not be proved while he remained under house arrest. He turns a case built from coded bones into a wider attack on the Jeffersonian and FBI, manipulating their access to evidence and challenging Booth and Brennan’s trust in what their systems can show. His methods extend beyond stolen files: he can falsify security footage and imitate Brennan’s voice to lure Booth into attacking him.

In the finale, Pelant’s parole hearing is delayed, as Brennan’s friend Ethan Sawyer is found dead and evidence points to her. The team tries to expose him as the killer, yet altered footage and planted clues make Brennan appear responsible. Booth’s assault on Pelant gets him suspended, and Max urges Brennan to protect Christine by leaving before she is arrested. Brennan and the baby disappear into hiding, leaving Booth behind and the team facing a frame-up they have not yet undone.
