Bo works as a celebrity photographer, selling intimate pictures to support herself. After a man she exposed dies by suicide, she tries to leave the profession. Money problems draw her back when a large reward is offered for pictures of missing actress Mazey Day. Mazey has disappeared after a troubled shoot abroad and a road accident she cannot escape remembering. Bo follows the clues toward a secluded retreat.
Other photographers join the hunt and enter the facility with her. They find Mazey chained inside a cabin with animals nearby, apparently being subjected to a strange treatment. While the others photograph her distress, Bo attempts to free her. Mazey begs them to run. Under the full moon, she transforms into a werewolf and attacks, turning their profitable intrusion into a struggle to survive the creature they have released.
Bo and Hector flee to a diner, where Mazey follows and kills again. In the chaos Bo takes a dropped gun and shoots her, causing her to return to human form. Bleeding on the floor, Mazey asks for death. Bo hands her the weapon rather than firing again, then raises her camera as Mazey puts it to her head. A shot sounds after the view pulls away. The final image and any sale remain unseen, leaving Bo poised to turn another person's last moment into a photograph.
