Lalo asks Jimmy to secure Domingo’s release after the police catch him at the stash house. Jimmy first tries to avoid the case, then uses his Saul Goodman manner to negotiate with DEA agents Hank Schrader and Steven Gomez. He persuades them that Domingo can provide information on rival dealers, and the arrangement gives the authorities a useful source while moving Lalo’s man out of jail. Saul’s work now serves both sides of a drug investigation.
At Schweikart & Cokely, Kim is pulled from her public-defense work to deal with Mesa Verde’s plan to take Everett Acker’s home for a new branch. Acker refuses to leave, and Kim tries to manage the bank’s demand while preserving a legal route for him. Her first approach is harsh enough to please Paige, but she later returns with a sympathetic offer that Acker also rejects.
Nacho tells Gus that Lalo plans to reveal the locations of Gus’s dead drops to the DEA. Gus decides to keep the drops running so Lalo will not know he has an informant. Mike, drinking at the bar he once visited with Werner, is attacked by robbers and breaks their leader’s arm before walking away. Kim returns to Tucumcari after Acker refuses to leave, troubled by how harshly she treated him.
