In Omaha, Gene Takavic stays away from work after the taxi driver who recognized him as Saul Goodman appears to be following him. He calls the vacuum-shop owner Ed Galbraith to arrange another disappearance, then changes his mind and decides to deal with Jeff himself. Back in Albuquerque, Jimmy explains that the Saul Goodman name will bring criminal clients, and Kim gives him gifts to mark his return to practice.
Jimmy’s publicity event draws little attention until his camera crew stages a confrontation with prosecutor Bill Oakley. The stunt earns Saul the exposure he wants, though he is reluctant to hand out half-price coupons. Kim sees the new persona taking shape and remains wary of what Jimmy is inviting into their lives. Later, Kim rejects Jimmy’s proposed trick to secure a client’s plea, then uses it herself and privately vents her frustration.
Lalo questions Gus about Werner and the cartel’s poor cocaine shipment. Gus invents a story that Werner was working on a chiller at the Los Pollos Hermanos farm, stole cocaine, and forced him to replace it with inferior local meth. Lalo accepts the explanation in public but remains suspicious. Gus stops work on the underground lab, sends Werner’s crew home, and offers Mike continued pay; Mike refuses, angry at Gus’s lack of compassion for Werner.
