With Kim under surveillance at the airport, Jack takes control of Tony's FBI transport and tells Renee that his daughter's life is at stake. In a tunnel, Tony and Cara escape with him as their prisoner. Tony persuades Cara that Jack's infection can supply the material needed to rebuild their biological weapon. At the airport, Renee warns Kim about the operatives posing as fellow passengers. Their attempt to seize her triggers gunfire, but Kim wounds the woman with a pen and escapes.
The male operative flees into the parking garage, and Kim follows when her phone loses power. She reaches police officers and reports his location. During the confrontation, his car crashes and catches fire. Kim retrieves the laptop used to watch her from the wreck, struggling free of the wounded driver before the vehicle explodes. She gives Renee the computer and explains that its signal may lead them to Jack. At the White House, Olivia destroys a decoy recording card while Ethan retains the real evidence.
Tony presses Cara to arrange a meeting with the man at the top of the organization. Wilson agrees to come and supervise Jack's transfer, while warning Cara that Tony will be killed if he fails the meeting. The doctors determine that Jack's spinal fluid contains the pathogen but that they will need his organs to reproduce it. When they remove his restraints for transport, Jack attacks them and breaks out of the building. Tony and Cara pursue him as dawn arrives.
