Jack uses a thermal scan to locate Navi and Behrooz in a hospital laundry room. Dina calls her husband to distract him while Jack descends through the laundry chute. A noise alerts Navi, and the confrontation becomes a struggle. Jack subdues him, but Behrooz picks up his father's gun and shoots him in the back. Reunited with her son, Dina provides an address where the plotters worked. Jack and Tony raid the deserted house and find a concealed basement containing reactor diagrams, train information and surveillance photographs of Heller and Audrey. The evidence connects the day's attacks to a single preparation site.
CTU traces the property's ownership to a company linked to Paul Raines. Audrey insists her husband could not knowingly be involved, but agrees to draw him into a meeting at his hotel. Jack heads there while Tony returns to CTU with Dina and Behrooz, accepting reinstatement for the investigation. In another lead, Marianne says Powell's computer contains useful contacts and requires her fingerprint. Curtis takes her to the office with a security team. Armed men ambush them, kill Marianne and capture Curtis. At Paul's hotel, the attempted reconciliation turns hostile as he suspects Audrey is stalling. Jack arrives, intervenes and demands answers about the company.
