Spoilers for this episode.
Saunders says the remaining couriers will release their virus at noon and demands safe passage before giving up their locations. Jane's appeal does not move him. Jack brings father and daughter to the Chandler Plaza Hotel and orders Chase to take Jane toward the contaminated building. Saunders finally yields the tracking codes before she is exposed. CTU locates ten vials and learns that the missing courier uses the name Arthur Rabens.
Brad Hammond takes Tony into custody and rejects Jack's request for leniency. Michelle learns that Tony enabled Saunders's earlier escape to protect her. Elsewhere, Palmer keeps Sherry occupied while Wayne and Foxton search her house for Milliken's prescription bottle. Sherry suspects the distraction and returns. Foxton knocks her unconscious and finds the bottle hidden against her body. Julia arrives after they leave the house, shoots Sherry and then kills herself as Wayne tries to intervene.
Across the country, teams recover the other vials, leaving Rabens in Los Angeles. Jack and Chase follow his signal but find no vehicle where the tracking places him. Jack realises he is travelling on the subway. Agents position themselves at the station and approach a passenger matching the signal. The transmitter is in the passenger's bag because Rabens has planted it there. Jack orders the station sealed and the trains searched, keeping everyone inside while the real courier remains unidentified.
