Choose Between Runic Arts and Weapons
On this page
The store presents two offensive directions: mastering dozens of powerful weapons, or runic arts, described as safe manipulations of the corrupt Magic your foes wield.
Weapons are the physical answer
Dozens of weapons is a wide enough list to suit most playstyles, and because they are crafted from Mage remains, collecting them is tied to hunting. A weapon you have not built is usually a Mage you have not killed.
Runic arts borrow the enemy’s power
Runic arts are framed as the safe manipulation of the same corrupt magic the Mages use. That makes them the interesting middle ground: you are using the threat’s own system, but controlled, which is why the publisher lists them beside weapons rather than behind them.
Carry an answer for both
Since the description asks you to master both rather than pick one, the practical setup is a weapon for the fight you understand and a runic art for the one you do not. Switching between them mid-fight is cheaper than rebuilding between attempts.
The supply for both is the hunt, covered in hunting the Mages. If you would rather hunt with someone else, read co-op and PvP.
