Bring Two Survivors to the Hardest Fights
On this page
The publisher describes Remnant as playable alone or alongside up to two other survivors, and states plainly that teamwork is necessary to make it through the game’s toughest challenges and unlock its greatest rewards.
Three is the designed maximum
Up to two other players, which is a team of three, is the size the official description names. That is the ceiling the hardest encounters are written around, so a group that size is the closest thing to the intended experience for the endgame.
Solo is viable, not equivalent
The store does present solo play as an option, and the rerolled worlds mean a solo run sees the same variety of content. What changes is the margin: encounters described as needing teamwork are the ones where a solo build has to substitute preparation for a second and third player.
Invading other worlds is still dangerous
The description frames travelling through portals to other realms as risky even with a team, and says survival is far from guaranteed. Treat the team as a way to increase your chances rather than as a removal of the risk.
Whether you play alone or in three, the build is what decides the run: specialise with weapons, armour and mods, and plan around the worlds rerolling.
