Build From Twenty-Five Classes
On this page
The publisher promises that you can create any character imaginable with the flexibility, richness and depth of the Pathfinder First Edition ruleset: 25 classes, 12 character races, and more than a thousand spells, feats and abilities.
Start from what you want to do
With 25 classes and 12 races, choosing by theme rather than by optimisation is the only way to keep the decision manageable. The store frames the system as suiting your personal playstyle, so picking the fantasy you want first is legitimate.
The detail is where the build lives
More than a thousand spells, feats and abilities is where a class becomes a character. Because these are chosen after the class, two characters of the same class can play nothing alike.
Mythic paths come on top
Later in the campaign you explore nine unique Mythic Paths and obtain extraordinary abilities, with the publisher asking whether you become a shining angel or a powerful necromancer. That is a second build layer stacked on the first.
The ruleset has consequences
Pathfinder’s ruleset is famously specific about what each choice grants. Treating the character sheet as part of the game rather than paperwork is what makes the promised depth real.
How that character fights is covered in switching between combat modes, and who stands beside them in the crusade and your companions.
