About
The Shop On Blossom Street is a romance novel by the American writer Debbie Macomber, published by Mira in 2004 and part of the Blossom Street series.
Lydia Hoffman owns a small yarn shop in Seattle, and the business is the shape she wants her life to take after an illness. She runs classes for people who have never held needles before. The first of them is called How To Make a Baby Blanket, and three women join it: Jacqueline Donovan, who wants to knit something for a grandchild as a way of repairing things with her daughter-in-law; Carol Girard, for whom the blanket is a statement of hope as she makes one more attempt to have a child; and Alix Townsend, who is there because a court has ordered her to do community service. None of them has much in common at the start, and the class changes what each of them does next.
