Tempting Evil
Riley Jenson works for an organisation created to police the supernatural races, and she trusts her superiors about as much as she trusts her enemies.
About
Tempting Evil is a novel by the Australian writer Keri Arthur, published in 2007. It is one of the books about Riley Jenson, and it is set in a version of Australia where the supernatural races live alongside everybody else.
Riley is half werewolf and half vampire, and she works for an organisation that exists to keep the peace among the supernatural communities. She trusts the people she works for not much more than she trusts her worst enemies, so she tends to play by her own rules rather than theirs.
The mission this time is to enter the pleasure palace of a criminal named Deshon Starr, a man who has spent decades tampering with the gene pool. Getting inside is difficult, and staying unnoticed once she is there is harder still.
There are two men competing for her attention while the job is going on, one of them a cool and seductive vampire and the other an irresistible wolf, and the book follows her as she tries to keep her mind on what she came for.
