About
Havana Storm is an adventure novel by the American writer Clive Cussler, published in 2014. It is the twenty-third book about Dirk Pitt.
Pitt is looking into a toxic outbreak in the Caribbean Sea that may in time reach the United States, and in the course of it he becomes involved in something considerably more dangerous: a power struggle over Cuba in the period after Castro.
His children are in the region on an investigation of their own. Dirk is a marine engineer and Summer is an oceanographer, and the two of them are chasing an Aztec stone that may reveal the whereabouts of a vast Aztec treasure.
The complication is that the stone was believed to have been destroyed aboard the battleship Maine in Havana Harbour in 1898, so working out what became of it brings them to Cuba as well, and squarely into harm's way. The three of them have found themselves in desperate situations before, but perhaps never in one quite as dire as the one facing them now.
