Breaking Dawn
Bella Swan has been pulled between her passion for the vampire Edward Cullen and her connection to the werewolf Jacob Black, and she has reached the point where the choice has to be made.
About
Breaking Dawn is the 2008 fourth novel in The Twilight Saga by American author Stephenie Meyer, published by Little, Brown and Company. It follows directly from the events of the previous novel, Eclipse.
The novel is divided into three parts, with the first and third written from Bella Swan's perspective and the second written from Jacob Black's. Bella and Edward marry, which leaves Jacob heartbroken, and when Bella faces situations that put her life at risk she accepts the danger willingly, along with the possibility of becoming a vampire. Meyer had an outline of the book as early as 2003 and changed it as she wrote the two novels that came between.
The publisher took unusual measures to keep the contents from leaking, closing forums and message boards on several fan sites and setting up a dedicated email address for readers to report spoilers. Breaking Dawn was released at midnight on 2 August 2008 at release parties in more than four thousand bookstores across the United States, and it sold over six million copies that year, making it the third best-selling novel of 2008 behind the two earlier books in the series.
