A Werewolf in Manhattan
Emma Gavin writes bestselling novels about werewolves, and she does not believe in them.
About
A Werewolf in Manhattan is a paranormal romance by the American writer Vicki Lewis Thompson, published in 2010. It is the first of her Wild About You books, in which werewolf packs live concealed inside ordinary American cities.
Emma Gavin's novels are successful partly because the wolves in them behave in ways that readers find convincing. What she does not know is that they are accurate, and that the accuracy is a problem for the community she has been writing about without realising it exists.
The pack's response is to investigate. Aidan Wallace, the son of the pack leader and his heir, is given the job, on the theory that a man who is going to run the pack should be the one to find out whether a renegade has been feeding a novelist information. He approaches Emma expecting to close the matter down quickly and finds that the two of them have an attraction neither of them has any defence against, which leaves him choosing between what he wants and the secrecy that has kept his family safe.
