Season synopsis
Contains spoilers for this season and earlier seasons.
When Trina's allergic reaction keeps her from performing at Hollywood Arts' showcase, Tori steps in beside André, impresses the school, and is invited to enroll. At Hollywood Arts, she has to prove she belongs among students who already know how to turn assignments into performances. Jade treats Tori as a rival after suspecting she is interested in Beck, while André, Robbie, Cat, and Beck become her allies in a school where an ordinary class project can become a public spectacle.
Tori's early victories are often tangled with her sister and classmates. She writes Trina a birthday song, only for Trina to sell it; later, Tori helps Jade find a venue for Jade's play, then steps in when its sponsor tries to rewrite it and cast her own daughter. When Tori encourages Robbie to film classmates for his blog, his increasingly intrusive clips turn the whole group against him. These episodes make Tori's knack for helping friends visible, while showing how quickly good intentions can create a new mess.
The season also puts the students' performance skills to public tests. At Karaoke Dokie, Jade and Cat lose a sing-off because the owner rigs the result for his daughter and her friend, then bans the pair from singing there. They enlist Tori, who disguises herself as an awkward singer and challenges the girls to another contest. Tori reveals herself onstage, wins the audience, and secures the pair's return; the contest's losers then have to help care for Trina while she recovers from wisdom-tooth surgery.
