Ray and Ani learn that Paul is dead and trace Caspere's secretary Laura and her brother Lenny to the children orphaned in the diamond robbery. Laura identifies Lenny as Caspere's killer. Ray tries to obtain a recorded confession from Holloway during a station exchange, but a revelation about Laura's parentage provokes Lenny. The confrontation erupts into gunfire, destroys the recording and kills Lenny and Holloway, forcing Ray and Ani to flee again.
Frank sends Jordan toward Venezuela and persuades Ani to follow. He and Ray raid the meeting where Osip and McCandless are completing their deal, kill them and take the money. They separate with plans to escape, but Ray visits Chad's school and finds a tracker on his car afterward. He sends Ani away and leads his pursuers into the woods, where Burris and other gunmen kill him. His final recording for Chad never uploads.
Frank is abducted by cartel men angry about the burned clubs. He bargains for release but is stabbed after refusing another demand, then dies alone in the desert while imagining Jordan nearby. Ani reaches Venezuela, where she and Jordan remain together and Ani has Ray's baby. She gives the evidence to a journalist before leaving with her child.
