The Innocents

Contains spoilers for this episode and earlier episodes.

The Boys assemble the hospital evidence into a clearer account of Compound V: Vought uses charitable shipments disguised as vaccines to create superpowered children. Frenchie suspects the captive woman's adult exposure points to another operation, but the team still needs to understand who she is. Mother's Milk arranges help from Mesmer, a former television star whose touch allows him to read people's memories, in exchange for contact with his daughter.

The session initially frightens the woman, but Frenchie calms her enough for Mesmer to learn her name, Kimiko. She and her brother were abducted by the Shining Light Liberation Army, and she wants to return to help him. Butcher takes the team's evidence to Raynor but refuses a deal when she will not pursue Homelander. His anger is personal: he tells Hughie that Homelander assaulted Becca before she disappeared.

Annie negotiates with Stillwell for more control over her work, while the Deep is made to apologize publicly and sent away from New York. Homelander struggles through a promotional account of a childhood he never had. Mesmer then gives Homelander photographs of the Boys, hoping to regain a place at Vought. Hughie and Annie kiss, but Butcher warns Hughie that she does not know he killed Translucent. Their growing closeness now sits beside a secret that directly threatens them both.
