Tommy presents his plan to kill Mosley while Michael and Gina offer a different future for the Shelby company. Michael wants a restructuring that would shift authority towards himself, and Tommy rejects the proposal. Polly is forced to weigh her son against the man she has helped lead for years. The company meeting leaves the family divided before the operation on which Tommy is relying.
Tommy visits Alfie Solomons in Margate and finds him alive after the shooting. He recruits support for disruption at Mosley's rally, intending to give Barney a clear moment to fire. Finn also lets information about the coming killing slip in front of Billy Grade. At the hall, Mosley's speech and the planned disturbances move towards the countdown, while Aberama prepares to take revenge on McCavern.
The plan collapses before Barney can shoot. He is killed, Aberama is stabbed to death and Arthur survives an attack of his own. Mosley leaves alive, apparently unaware of the assassination scheme. Tommy cannot explain how the attackers knew enough to stop every part of it. Back at the house he repeatedly questions who has defeated him, then walks into the field. A vision of Grace invites him to leave everything behind, and he ends with a gun to his head. The betrayal remains unexplained within this episode.
