The Queen Who Ever Was

Contains spoilers for this episode and earlier episodes.

Tyland wins the Triarchy's support and Lohar's agreement to sail against Corlys's blockade. Rhaenyra prepares her new riders for attacks that could kill civilians, while Ulf's behaviour strains the court's patience. Aemond tries to force Helaena to ride Dreamfyre, but she refuses and confronts him about burning Aegon. Larys warns the injured king that remaining in the capital puts him at risk from both his brother and Rhaenyra, and proposes an escape.

At Harrenhal, Alfred Broome encourages Daemon to claim the throne himself. Alys leads Daemon to the weirwood, where a vision connects the family's struggle to a threat beyond their own lifetimes. Rhaenyra arrives after Simon warns her of possible disloyalty, but Daemon kneels and pledges himself and his army to her. At the docks, Alyn confronts Corlys about the hunger and neglect he and Addam endured while their father concentrated on his recognised family.

Alicent secretly visits Rhaenyra and offers to open King's Landing when Aemond leaves. She hopes to take Helaena and Jaehaera away from the conflict, but Rhaenyra insists that taking the throne requires Aegon's public death. Alicent accepts the cost without knowing that Larys is already helping him escape. Rhaena finds the wild dragon she has pursued in the Vale, while fleets and armies move into position. Rhaenyra's proposed entry into the capital has yet to happen.
