Mabel, Candy and Grenda go to a concert by their favorite boy band, Sev'ral Timez, and discover that its members are laboratory-grown clones. Their producer keeps them caged and treats them as property. The girls help the boys escape and hide them in Mabel's room, where she enjoys feeding, grooming and directing her new guests. Candy and Grenda warn her that sheltering them must eventually mean letting them go. Dipper, meanwhile, suspects that Robbie's romantic song has hidden instructions controlling Wendy's feelings. Stan encourages the suspicion with a story about losing his own girlfriend, and the two investigate the recording together.
When the producer is arrested, Candy and Grenda want to tell the band that it can leave safely. Mabel refuses, lies about the danger outside and orders the boys to drive her friends away. A grateful song about her kindness makes her hear how far she has gone. She apologizes, reconciles with the girls and releases the band into the forest. Dipper and Stan find a backward message and interrupt Robbie's date with Wendy. Robbie admits that he copied the song rather than writing it for her, prompting Wendy to end their relationship. Dipper immediately asks to spend the evening with her, overlooking how hurt she feels. Wendy rejects his thoughtlessness, and he recognizes that his interference served his own wishes.
