Tyrion reaches Pentos in a crate and emerges into Varys's care. Varys wants him to meet Daenerys and help put her on the Iron Throne. In Meereen, the Sons of the Harpy murder an Unsullied soldier, and Daenerys orders the killer found. She refuses to reopen the fighting pits despite pressure from Hizdahr and Daario. Visiting Rhaegal and Viserion beneath the pyramid only shows her how dangerous the chained dragons have become.
At Castle Black, Stannis needs the wildlings to help take Winterfell from the Boltons and orders Jon to win Mance's submission. Jon argues that kneeling could save Mance's people, but Mance will not give them to another king's war. Melisandre has him tied to a stake, and the fire is lit before Stannis's assembled followers. Jon leaves the watching crowd, takes a bow and shoots Mance through the chest to end his suffering.
