Munch gives Irma's demanding son a roll of money, then kills him with an axe as he leaves. Gator follows the tracker to Irma's house and fires at a figure rocking by the window. The target is the son's corpse, moved by Munch with a rope. Believing Munch dead, Gator breaks into his car to steal the money. Irma confronts him, and Gator pushes her, causing her to strike her head and die. Munch emerges to find her body. Meanwhile, an exhausted Dot stops for pancakes during her drive and seems to find directions to a refuge called Camp Utopia.
At the camp, women who have escaped abusive partners all use the name Linda. Dot confronts Linda Tillman, Roy's first wife, accusing her of helping Roy abuse her and then abandoning her. Asked to tell her story through puppets, Dot describes being taken into the Tillman household as a fifteen-year-old, Roy's violence against Linda and his subsequent abuse of Dot. Linda agrees to return with her and testify. Dot then wakes at the diner: the camp and their reconciliation were a dream. Outside, a vehicle caught in a road accident hits her. She regains consciousness in hospital and expects Wayne when a nurse announces her husband. Roy enters instead and closes the door.
