Gator and three accomplices enter Dot's house wearing Halloween masks. Dot distracts them with smoke and flashing lights, sprays one with pepper spray and uses the sledgehammer trap against another. She recognizes Gator when his mask comes off and refuses to leave with him. Upstairs, Wayne touches Dot's electrified window wiring, loses consciousness and starts a fire. Dot and Scotty get him onto the roof; Scotty climbs down, and Dot pushes Wayne off before escaping herself. The attackers retreat as emergency vehicles arrive. Dot watches her home burn, then tells Scotty they must describe the disaster as an electrical fault.
At the hospital, Lorraine blames Dot for Wayne's injuries and demands special treatment for her son. Witt and Indira have found surveillance footage proving Dot was the woman at the gas station, but she still avoids their questions. Dot visits the injured Wayne and gives him another harmless explanation for the attack. Roy discovers Munch's bloody footprints and a symbol left between his daughters' beds. He later confronts Joshua, a man he previously warned about abusing his wife. Joshua draws a gun, and Roy kills him. With Gator's kidnapping attempt a failure, Roy decides to blame Joshua for the gas-station crimes and pressures Joshua's widow to support the story.
