Yoon Se-ri expects a family dinner to be another argument about money, but her father names her as his intended successor. Her brothers resent the choice, and her mother urges her to refuse it. Se-ri accepts anyway, confident that the fashion business she built herself has prepared her to take charge of the family company. Before the announcement, she tests paragliding equipment for her own business.
A sudden storm blows Se-ri across the border, leaving her suspended in a tree. Captain Ri Jeong-hyeok finds her during a patrol, and she initially assumes he has crossed into South Korea. Learning where she really is, she refuses to be taken for questioning. When he steps on a mine, she takes her chance to run, ignoring the direction that could have led her back.
Se-ri evades the soldiers and crosses more fences, travelling farther into North Korea while believing she is escaping it. Elsewhere, officer Cho Cheol-gang covers up his involvement with grave robbers through a deadly road attack, while fugitive Gu Seung-jun considers a northern hiding place. Se-ri finally reaches a village, only to recognise that she is still on the wrong side. Jeong-hyeok pulls her into cover before Cheol-gang can spot her.
