Walt settles into the industrial laundry’s lab and meets Gale Boetticher, who will assist him with the cook. At home, Walter Jr. presses his parents to explain where their marriage stands, but neither gives him the answer he wants. Jesse tries to restart his street business with Badger and Skinny Pete, promising they will avoid the choices that got Combo killed. Hank is watching Jesse because he believes Jesse has Combo’s RV. Marie suggests Hank ask Walt whether Jesse ever owned one, and Walt immediately understands that the vehicle could expose them. The Salamanca twins, meanwhile, grow impatient at Los Pollos Hermanos while Gus continues to block their plan to kill Walt.
Walt finds the RV at Clovis’s lot and learns the DEA is looking for it. He takes it to Old Joe’s junkyard to have it crushed, but Jesse arrives after Badger warns him. Hank has followed Jesse and tries to enter the RV. Walt and Jesse lock themselves inside while Old Joe argues that Hank needs a warrant to search it. Saul arranges a false report that Marie has been badly hurt in a car crash. Hank rushes away, then realises the call was a trick after Marie contacts him. Old Joe scraps the RV as Walt and Jesse watch. At sunset, Gus meets the twins and repeats that Walt is off limits until their business ends; he redirects their revenge toward Hank, the man who shot Tuco.
