Gael binds Kim to a chair and deletes the Salazar material from his computer before returning to the CTU floor. Adam's search for Kim exposes the locked room, and Michelle overrides its access code. Kim identifies Gael as her captor. Security stops him from escaping, and Chappelle begins an interrogation that includes torture. Gael refuses to explain himself. A monitored call from Hector gives CTU a chance to trace the Salazars, but it ends too quickly.
Aboard the private jet, Ramon repeatedly threatens to kill Jack despite Hector's order to bring him back alive. Jack overpowers a guard and holds Ramon at gunpoint, keeping himself alive until they land. Chase ignores Chappelle's demand that he return to CTU and forces the Salazars' accountant to identify a financial connection to Las Nieves. He tells Kim that he is going after Jack and asks her to keep his movements secret because CTU has been compromised.
Michelle visits Tony at the hospital, but news of Gael's arrest makes him insist on leaving immediately. In Mexico, Jack brings Ramon out of the plane at gunpoint and complains that their agreement was broken. Hector welcomes Jack as a partner, leaving Ramon bewildered. Jack then activates a signal on his watch. Back at CTU, Gael's device responds, and Tony finally explains that they have been helping Jack return undercover to the Salazars.
