Jack follows the passenger list from the destroyed plane while Tony questions what happened during Mason's visit. Nina supplies a cover story to protect Jack, but Tony remains suspicious. Across the city, Richard Walsh meets analyst Scott Baylor, who has discovered confidential information about Palmer hidden on a CTU access card. Gunmen attack them before Walsh can leave with it. Baylor falls, and a wounded Walsh calls Jack for help rather than risk bringing in an agent he cannot trust.
Jack reaches Dunlop Plaza and fights his way out with Walsh, taking a dead attacker's thumb to identify him. Another burst of gunfire fatally wounds Walsh in the garage. Before dying, he gives Jack the key card and tells him to trust Jamey Farrell with its contents. Elsewhere, Mandy meets Ira Gaines and a gunman whose altered face resembles Martin Belkin. Mandy's partner Bridgit has recovered the stolen identification, but demands another million dollars before handing it over.
Teri and Alan find Janet's car at the furniture store but no girls. Teri contacts Nina for help finding the owner, while Palmer leaves his hotel to meet an associate after another private call. Dan orders Kim to phone her mother and pretend she is still enjoying a party. When Kim resists, he breaks Janet's arm, forcing her to obey. Kim ends the call with an unusual declaration of love that troubles Teri. Jack receives Jamey's first result from the key card: the information points to Nina's computer.
