Upgrade Movements and Weapons Together

On this page

Thymesia’s official feature list gives you two upgrade tracks: upgrade and modify Corvus’ basic movements, and upgrade and modify plague weapons. Together the store says they let you build your own playstyle.

Movement upgrades pay out on every enemy

A comparison of Thymesia movement upgrades against plague weapon upgrades, showing movement benefits on every enemy while plague weapons depend on defeated carriers.
Movement upgrades apply to every fight; weapon upgrades apply to the tools you have. Open the full image.

A change to how Corvus moves or answers attacks applies to everything you fight. That makes the movement track the safer early investment when you are still meeting new enemy types, because you keep the benefit even when the next fight hands you a weapon you have never used.

Weapon upgrades depend on your carriers

Plague weapon upgrades only mean something once you hold the weapon. Since those come from bosses and formidable enemies, points spent here early can sit unused. Spend on this track after a hard fight has actually handed you the tool you intend to keep using.

Let the losing fight pick for you

The store describes fast-paced combat and enemies that challenge you at every turn. When a fight keeps ending the same way, the fix is usually the track that addresses that failure: movement upgrades when you cannot answer the pattern, weapon upgrades when you can answer it but cannot finish inside the opening.

Start from what the enemies give you: plague weapons from formidable carriers. And keep the interrupt routine sharp in feathers and raven form.
