Turn Each Season Into a Goal

On this page

Fallout 76 runs on seasons as well as questlines: the store says you progress through each season and unlock free rewards by completing limited-time challenges.

The season is the clock

Three stages of a Fallout 76 season: enter the current season, complete its limited-time challenges, then unlock free rewards such as consumables and C.A.M.P. items.
The season is the second clock. Open the full image.

Seasons give an open world a moving deadline. Because progress comes from limited-time challenges, the work that is worth doing this week is not the same as the work that would be worth doing next month, so knowing which season is running is as useful as knowing your character’s level.

What the rewards actually are

The store names consumables, C.A.M.P. items and more as the free rewards behind those challenges. That list matters for planning, because it ties the season track back to the same C.A.M.P. you are already building rather than dangling a reward with nothing to do with your own base.

Fallout Worlds is the other switch

Fallout Worlds is described separately as an evolving set of features that give players the capability to play in unique ways with customisable settings. It is not part of the season track, so the honest way to treat it is a second mode to reach for when the standard rules have stopped being interesting.

Getting set up before the next season starts is covered in building a C.A.M.P. that works twice. Getting your bearings first is covered in starting on Reclamation Day.
