Wicked Appetite is a novel by the American writer Janet Evanovich, published in 2010. It is set in Salem, Massachusetts, and it mixes a contemporary story about work and houses with a treasure hunt for objects of power.
Elizabeth Tucker, who is called Lizzie, works as a baker at Dazzle's Bakery and specialises in cupcakes. She has recently moved to Salem after inheriting her aunt's house, and she is hoping for an uneventful future, which does not last long.
A dark-haired man named Gerwulf Grimoire comes into the bakery and accosts her, and a blond beach bum called Diesel arrives immediately afterwards. Both of them are looking for the Stones of SALIGIA, seven stones that reflect the seven deadly sins and can give their owner frightening powers, and Lizzie turns out to be an Unmentionable with a talent for finding things. The novel follows the race to find the first stone before Grimoire does. Lizzie's new job, her aunt's house and the ordinary business of a bakery stay in the story alongside the hunt.
