About

Velvet Touch is a romance novel by the American writer Jayne Ann Krentz, published by Silhouette Books in 1982.

Lacey Seldon has spent her working life in a library and has decided to cut loose from it, which is why she has gone to an island in Puget Sound to begin again. Holt Randolph is nothing like the men she has met before, and the effect he has on her is not something she has experienced or knows how to handle. He refuses to be satisfied with part of her attention and tells her so; what he wants is for her to commit to the relationship completely, which is a gamble she has no experience of taking. The novel is about whether she will, and what he does while she decides.

The island is the place Lacey chose to find some freedom, and Holt is the complication she did not plan for.
