About
Unwanted Bride is a romance novel by the British writer Anne Hampson, issued by Mills & Boon in this printing of 192 pages, ISBN 9780263055467, dated 1973.
Caryn married Sharn in order to qualify for an inheritance that was left to both of them and payable only if they were husband and wife. They parted immediately afterwards and she did not see him again. When she loses both her job and her place to live, going to Australia to the cattle station he runs is the only option left to her. What she finds there is that Sharn has kept the marriage to himself, so that nobody in his life knows she is his wife, and one of the people who does not know is Harriet Watson, who has plans to marry him. Caryn has to establish her position without much of a welcome.
The woman who intends to marry Sharn has no idea that he already has a wife, and Caryn is not inclined to tell her without speaking to him first.
