The Rogue Hunter

The Rogue Hunter is a paranormal romance by Lynsay Sands, published in 2008. Its heroine, Samantha Willan, is a lawyer who works too hard and has gone to cottage country for some rest and relaxation.

She has recently been through a breakup, so her intention for the holiday is to stay as far away from romance as she can. That plan runs straight into her new neighbour, whose eyes she finds strange and mysterious, and which she begins to suspect are locked on her neck rather than on her face.

The neighbour is Garrett Mortimer, a rogue hunter. His previous assignment was the one that brought Lucian Argeneau together with his lifemate, and he is hoping that this one will be less adventurous than that was. and he is not looking forward to it in the least.

What he finds instead is a woman who has come to the country specifically to avoid the kind of entanglement he represents, and the novel is the working out of an assignment that has turned into something with a personal stake in it.
