The Reaper

Tristan Caine is known in his world as the Predator, and he has lived his adult life according to a vow that he broke one rainy night. The reason was Morana Vitalio, whom he has known for twenty years and whose safety he regards as his own business whether she agrees or not. Morana has lost almost everything she valued, and she is now in the territory of people who would rather she were not there, with both her freedom and her life on the line. The two of them begin looking into the disappearance of a set of girls, and what they find turns out to be at the edge of something larger, which is why neither of them can work alone.

The book is part of a sequence about the same criminal world and it follows the volume before it.
