The Raven King

The Raven King is a fantasy novel by the American writer Maggie Stiefvater, published in 2016. It is the fourth and final book of The Raven Cycle.

For years Gansey has been on a quest to find a lost king, and one by one he has drawn other people into his search for it. Ronan can take things out of his own dreams and bring them into the world, Adam's life has stopped belonging to him, and Noah is in a condition that is not quite living. Blue loves Gansey and is certain that she is destined to kill him, which the four of them have known for most of the series without deciding what to do about it. In this final volume the various threads come together: dreams and nightmares are converging on the same place, love and loss have become impossible to separate, and the quest itself refuses to follow the path anybody had planned for it. The four friends have to see the search through, and the resolution arrives with everything else at once.

Stiefvater's series is set in a Virginia town and mixes the ordinary business of school and family with clairvoyance and a great deal of local history.
