The Hidden Kingdom
Glory is a RainWing and knows her tribe is not what the other dragons say it is, because she is not lazy herself.
About
The Hidden Kingdom is a fantasy novel by the American writer Tui T. Sutherland.
Glory is a RainWing, and she has spent her life being told what RainWings are like: lazy, useless and unfit to be one of the dragonets of destiny. She knows the description does not fit her, and she has kept her own weapon to herself. When the dragonets take shelter in the rain forest she finds the RainWings living exactly the way everybody said they did, napping in the treetops and knowing nothing about the rest of the world. What they also do not know, or do not want to know, is that members of their tribe have been disappearing from the forest. Glory and the others decide to find out what is happening to them.
