The Enchantress Returns

The Enchantress Returns is a fantasy novel by the American writer Chris Colfer, published in 2013 and part of the Land of Stories series.

Alex and Conner Bailey have been living at home since the events of their first adventure, with the Land of Stories closed to them. One night they learn that the Enchantress, the figure who cursed Sleeping Beauty, has taken their mother, and that the world they remember as joyful is now frightened of her. Their grandmother forbids them to go, so the twins find their own way in. What they arrive in is not the place they left. The Enchantress's reach has extended into their own world, which is the reason they have to stop her rather than simply rescue their mother and come home.

The book is the second in the series and it moves between the ordinary world and the fairy-tale one.
