The Brightest Night
Sunny has always taken the prophecy about the five dragonets seriously, and if the tribes of Pyrrhia need her to end the war she is willing to try.
About
The Brightest Night is a fantasy novel by Tui T. Sutherland, issued by Scholastic in 2014 as part of the Wings of Fire sequence.
Sunny has believed in the prophecy for as long as she can remember. She is prepared to help end the war between the tribes, and she has ideas about how to do it, though the others do not always listen to them. What changes her mind is a piece of news from Morrowseer, who is not supposed to be a source of doubt, and once she has heard it she has to ask whether the five of them were ever destined for anything at all. She is in the desert when she works it out, among secrets that were buried there and a side to the scavengers that nobody expected.
It is the fifth book of the series, and it closes the arc that begins with The Dragonet Prophecy.
