The Atlas Six
The Alexandrian Society looks after the lost knowledge of the great civilisations of antiquity, and it is the foremost secret society of magical academicians in the world.
About
The Atlas Six is a fantasy novel by the American writer Olivie Blake. It is the first book of a trilogy and follows six powerful young magic users who have the chance to join the secretive Alexandrian Society.
The Alexandrian Society is described as the caretaker of lost knowledge from the greatest civilisations of antiquity and the foremost secret society of magical academicians, and a place in it secures a life of wealth, power and prestige beyond most people's imaginings. Each decade only the six most uniquely talented magicians in the world are selected as candidates for initiation, and this book follows the latest group: Libby Rhodes and Nico de Varona, the unwilling halves of an unfathomable whole who between them exert uncanny control over every element of physicality; Reina Mori, a naturalist who can intuit the language of life itself; Parisa Kamali, a telepath who can traverse the depths of the subconscious; Callum Nova, an empath easily mistaken for a manipulative illusionist; and the sixth member who completes the set. The novel was first self-published via Kindle in early 2020, then acquired by Tor Books after a seven-way auction, republished in 2021 and issued in a revised edition in March 2022.
Two further books completed the trilogy, The Atlas Paradox in October 2022 and The Atlas Complex in January 2024.
