Tears of the Renegade
Susan Blackstone has been a widow for five years when she sees a stranger across a room and then learns his name.
About
Tears of the Renegade is a romance novel by the American writer Linda Howard.
Susan Blackstone was widowed five years ago and has rebuilt her life without much drama in it. That ends when she notices a man across a crowded room and then learns that he is Cord Blackstone, the member of the family nobody talks about. He has come home with revenge in mind, aimed at the relatives who run the family business, and Susan is his cousin by marriage, which puts her on both sides of the argument. The novel follows the two of them as the fight for control of the company and their growing attachment pull against each other. Nobody in the family expects him to stay, and nobody expects Susan to be the reason he does.
The book is one of the author's earlier novels and was reissued years later in a larger print edition for libraries.
