Succubus On Top

Succubus on Top is a fantasy novel by the American writer Richelle Mead, published in 2007. It is the second book about Georgina Kincaid.

Georgina is a succubus, a demon who takes her power from the pleasure of other men, and she chose to join the ranks of hell centuries ago. The shapeshifting and the immortality are as good as advertised, but they come with a complication: the man she is dating, Seth Mortensen, is a shy and gifted writer in Seattle, and a kiss would drain his life force.

Her working life has its own difficulties. Doug, a colleague at the bookshop where she works, has begun behaving strangely, and Georgina suspects that something a good deal more demonic than strong coffee is behind it. She could use help, but her best friend among the immortal, an incubus called Bastien, is preoccupied with corrupting an extremely conservative talk radio host, and is sending her distracting signals of his own while he does it.

That leaves her doing the work on her own, and doing it quickly, because Doug's is not the only life that will be on the line. The series continues in further Georgina Kincaid novels.
