Revan was a Jedi, and then he was something else: his memories were taken from him and he was made into a weapon for the Sith.

About

Revan is a novel by the Canadian writer Drew Karpyshyn, published in 2011. It is part of the novels written to accompany the video game Star Wars: The Old Republic, and it is set in the era of the Old Republic, thousands of years before the films.

Revan has been both a hero of the Jedi and a servant of the Sith, and what remains of his original life is a set of gaps in his memory. He knows that at some point he learned of a danger to the Republic, and he knows that he acted on that knowledge in ways he can no longer reconstruct, but the details have been taken from him. The book follows him as he tries to retrace his own steps towards the threat he remembers only as an obligation, with the people who knew him divided over whether he is a saviour or a danger themselves. The story is one of the four novels released between 2010 and 2012, of which Karpyshyn wrote two.

The novel was one of four released between 2010 and 2012 to accompany the video game Star Wars: The Old Republic, and the setting is a galaxy where the Jedi and the Sith have been at war for generations.
