Single White Vampire
Kate C.
About
Single White Vampire is a paranormal romance by Lynsay Sands, published in 2003. Its central character, Kate C. Leever, is an editor at a publishing house called Roundhouse.
Her first letter to one of her new authors is written to impress on him how much demand there is for vampire romances. He has expressed little to no desire for publicity, book tours or anything of the kind, and it is clear to Kate that he is an author waiting to be broken out whether he likes it or not.
The author is Lucern Argeneau, and his response to the suggestion that he attend a romance convention is unusually quick to arrive and unusually short. Kate is adamant that he will go and meet his fans, which is the difficulty on one side of the arrangement.
What it means on the other is that a vampire who writes about vampires is being pushed into a room full of the people who read them, and the novel is about what happens when one of the two professionals has a secret to keep.
