Sin and Sensibility
Eleanor Griffin has three older brothers with strong opinions about which men are suitable for her, and she has decided to enjoy herself before the arranged marriage she expects finally arrives.
About
Sin and Sensibility is a historical romance by the American writer Suzanne Enoch, published in 2005 and part of her Griffin Family series.
Eleanor Griffin is the youngest of the family and the only sister, which means that any man who shows an interest in her has to get past three older brothers who are prepared to frighten him off. Nell knows she is expected to marry eventually and expects the marriage to be arranged for her, so her plan is to enjoy London in the meantime, whatever her family thinks of it. Her brother Sebastian, the Duke of Melbourne, decides that supervision is required and asks his best friend to watch over her, and the Marquis of Deverill turns out to be a chaperone with a reputation of his own. Enoch writes the book as a comedy of manners in which the plans made by other people are the thing the romance keeps running into.
The book belongs to a series about the Griffin family, and the brothers who spend this novel interfering are the subject of the others.
