The fourth Dollanganger novel follows Cathy from the age of fifty-two to her death a few years later.
About
Seeds of Yesterday is a novel by the American writer V. C. Andrews, published in 1984 as the fourth book of the Dollanganger series.
The book is told from the point of view of Cathy, the protagonist of the series, and it follows her from the age of fifty-two until her death several years later. The story opens fifteen years after the previous volume, when Cathy and Chris arrive at the house belonging to their son Bart and find that he has reproduced the family's former home down to the smallest detail. Bart's twenty-fifth birthday is being celebrated there, and among the people present is a man named Joel who claims to be a relative who was thought to have died in an avalanche years earlier. Joel takes a position in the household at Bart's request, and Bart, who is still bitter about his parents, comes to look on him as a father.
The novel was adapted for television in 2015.
