Sea of Swords
The warhammer Aegis-fang has ended up in the hands of the pirate captain Sheila Kree, and Wulfgar is following her.
About
Sea of Swords is a fantasy novel by the American writer R. A. Salvatore, published in 2001. It is the third and final novel in his Paths of Darkness series, and the thirteenth book of the Legend of Drizzt.
Drizzt Do'Urden and his friends set out to track down Wulfgar's magical hammer, Aegis-fang, which the pirate Sheila Kree bought in Luskan and has since turned into a symbol of her own authority. On the way they stop Wulfgar's new wife, Delly Curtie, from being murdered in Waterdeep, and they are eventually reunited with Wulfgar himself with help from their old shipmate Robillard of the Sea Sprite. Their search takes them to a cave complex where Sheila Kree is living alongside an ogre clan she has bent to her will, and there Drizzt is confronted by Ellifain, the elf child he saved during a drow surface raid, who blames him for the death of her mother; the two of them fight, and he kills her without meaning to. With help from Morik the Rogue, the companions recover the hammer.
The book is set in the Forgotten Realms shared world, and it closes a sequence that had followed the same group of characters through several earlier novels.
